Nursing Diplomas (PNC-Recognized)

LRIHS offers diploma programs in Lady Health Visitor (LHV), Community Midwifery (CMW), and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under recognition of the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
1- Lady Health Visitor (LHV) Program Overview:
The Lady Health Visitor (LHV) is a two-year diploma program that trains female health workers to serve as frontline providers in public health, particularly in maternal & child health, preventive and promotive care, and community health education. LHVs act as a bridge between communities and formal healthcare systems.

Career Opportunities:
Employment in Basic Health Units (BHUs), Rural Health Centers (RHCs), and governmental health programs. Work with NGOs or private clinics in maternal and child health, immunization, sanitation, health education. Potential to advance further with higher qualifications.
2- Community Midwife (CMW) Program Overview:
The Community Midwife (CMW) Diploma is a two-year program aimed at training female health workers to provide maternal and newborn care at the community level. The focus is on antenatal care, normal deliveries, postnatal care, and health education. Graduates are skilled birth attendants who operate in rural or underserved settings.
Career Opportunities:
Serve as community midwives in rural or semi-urban areas. Work in Basic Health Units, MCH centers, NGOs focused on maternal & child health. Be part of public health programs aimed at reducing infant & maternal mortality.
3- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program Overview:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is a two-year diploma designed to prepare students to support nurses and other healthcare professionals by providing basic patient care. CNAs are key staff in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home healthcare, focusing on patient comfort, safety, and support.
Career Opportunities:
Roles in hospitals and clinics as nursing aides/assistants. Work in long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers. Opportunities with home health services or private care.
